Desert Foothills Theater will be holding auditions for "Smokey Joe's Cafe" on Saturday, January 30 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with callbacks on January 31.
Broadway’s longest running musical revue, Smokey Joe's Café highlights the rock 'n' roll hits of Leiber and Stoller, who wrote million sellers for the Coasters, Drifters and Elvis among others. It's a high energy, fun-filled show that features 39 hit songs including "Kansas City," "Poison Ivy," "On Broadway," "Yakety Yak," "Loving You," "Hound Dog," "Love Potion #9," "Jailhouse Rock," "Spanish Harlem," "Stand by Me" and many more.
The show is being directed by T.A. Burrows and Damon J. Bolling, with music direction by Dan Kurek, and choreography by Lynzee Foreman.
